- easy and quick to make.
Ingredients
Here's what you will need to make these gluten and dairy free brownies from scratch:
- plant-based yogurt, plain and unsweetened, you can use soy or oat-based ones (if using oat yogurt, make sure it is certified gluten free, if needed);
- light, neutral flavored oil, like sunflower oil
- white sugar, but you can use light brown sugar too
- dairy-free milk, like soy, rice or oat (avoid coconut, almond etc. to keep the brownies nut-free)
- unsweetened cocoa powder, make sure it's gluten free
- gluten free potato (or corn) starch, this will be the only "flour" used in the recipe and the result is great!
- espresso coffee powder, you could omit this, but I wholeheartedly suggest you do not, as the coffee boosts the chocolate flavor 😉
- pinch of salt and vanilla extract to add more flavor to your vegan gluten free brownies!
- dairy free dark chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate bar.
Instructions
Making gluten dairy free brownies with no eggs is super simple:
- In a medium bowl mix sugar, yogurt, oil, milk and vanilla extract with a hand mixer, until well combined and smooth
- In a large bowl mix potato starch, salt, cocoa powder and espresso coffee powder
- Incorporate the yogurt mixture and mix until you obtain a smooth batter
- Spoon the batter in a greased baking dish and even it out with a spoon or spatula
- Sprinkle chocolate chips on top

- Bake for 20-22 minutes in pre-heated oven
- Let cool down for 30 minutes before slicing and store in an airtight container to keep the brownies soft.
