This recipe was inspired by social media, I saw a few and decided to make my own.
The fun part is that you can season these chickpea chips as you like, sprinkling them with herbs and spices, or adding them directly into the batter!

    These chickpea chips are:

    • naturally gluten free, dairy free and egg free
    • made with few simple ingredients
    • nicely crisp and flavorful
    • quick and easy to make and bake
    • kid friendly, a great way for them to eat more plant based

    Ingredients

To make these baked chickpea chips you will need 3-4 ingredients:

    • gluten free chickpea flour
    • water
    • salt
    • herbs and spices of your liking, like chopped rosmary, sage, dried oregano, dried garlic, chilli flakes, etc.

    Instructions

    • In a bowl whisk chickpea flour, water and salt until you have a smooth batter without clumps
    • Place a sheet of parchment paper on two baking sheets/pan
    • Spread a spoonful of batter at a time, forming circles
    • Sprinkle with chopped herbs and spices (if desired)
    • Bake in pre-heated oven for 10 minutes, or until they are golden and the edges lightly browned
    • Let cool down for 15-20 minutes before carefully removing the chips from the parchment paper
    • Serve in a bowl and add more seasoning if desired.

P.S. a couple chips might come out less crispy than the others, it has happened to me a few times. I found that it also depends on the weather, especially on more humid days.
